A presentation with the ‘wow’ factor
Owned by MEPC, which has seven other business parks around the UK, Granta Park lies within the prestigious Cambridge Science Cluster. As part of its marketing activities, it offers free facilities to local companies for networking and meetings, in exchange for showing a brief introductory presentation about the Park.
Having worked with Granta Park for almost four years on re-branding and other projects, we were asked to produce a two- to three-minute Flash video to replace the Powerpoint being shown at these events.
The challenge was to bring life and energy to static objects - land and buildings – while retaining the credibility vital to a site with global companies among its tenants, and where rents can run into millions of pounds. We commissioned new still photography, which we inter-cut with copy and set to a suitably rousing soundtrack. The result presents Granta Park as a dynamic, high-quality environment for world-class businesses – with the ‘wow’ factor the client was looking for.
The video has been uploaded to the website, and transferred to CD-ROM for use in other marketing activities. It has also been shown by MPEC as part of a Global Life Science Event.
Granta Park is home to some of the world’s top companies. When we were asked to make a video encapsulating the place, we knew it had to have a real ‘premium’ feel – or, as the client put it, the ‘wow factor’. With only two to three minutes to get the message across, the images, copy and soundtrack had to be carefully selected and perfectly matched. Judging by the client’s reaction, I’d say we got it spot on.
