< backMarley Plumbing & Drainage Price Lists
Managing the information flow
Historically, Marley’s main trade price was a pair of (very thick!) A5 booklets, illustrated with line drawings of individual products and components.
In 2011, following a re-brand, Marley opted to produce separate price lists for its Above Ground (anything visible, such as guttering and external pipe-work) and Below Ground products (anything buried, like drainpipes, sewer pies and so on). As well as a new format (A4 portrait) the new price lists had to conform to Marley’s new brand guidelines. This included using photography instead of line drawings, and a ‘hero’ brand image for each product section.
Following on from these two ‘base’ booklets, each of Marley’s product brochures will contain product pages, using the brand images and product shots to maintain a consistent look and feel.
This was a big departure for Marley, and an important test of the new brand identity. We had to compile, collate and present a huge volume of information and images, which demanded very close collaboration between the studio, the account team and the client. The result proves how well that process was managed.
