Presenting the facts

With offices in Sevenoaks and Swanley, West Kent Housing Association owns and manages almost 6,000 properties across Kent. In 2011 we were asked to redesign its Annual Report, with the aim of making it more visually appealing, while keeping the information clear, concise and easy to read.

Our new design incorporated colour-coded tabbed sections, judicious use of photography and fonts chosen for their clarity and readability. The project involved close liaison with the client’s marketing department, finance director and accountants, and a quick turnaround from our studio to ensure we met the (immovable) deadline of the West Kent AGM.  We also had to produce two versions: a ‘full’ report with all the statutory financial summaries; and one for tenants, which focused on the Association’s performance against specific criteria, and excluded the financial details.
