We currently have 5 positions:

Junior Developer

We are looking for a junior developer to help establish an in-house development team at impact that will specifically be developing web applications with Ruby on Rails.

The ideal candidate should have knowledge of development practices such as Test driven development, Object-Oriented Programming and the MVC framework. They should enjoy learning and problem solving and should have a keen eye for usability. Impact New Media is Mac based so they should be happy to work on a Mac.

They will be programming exclusively in Ruby and using the Ruby on Rails framework. Previous experience with both will be a major advantage.

The role will be office based in Impact’s offices in Marden, Kent.

About Impact New Media

We are part of a very successful, full service design and marketing agency (see our DesignWeek Top 100 rankings from last year). The NewMedia team is young in age and very ambitious. The majority of our work is web based and we work with a broad spectrum of clients and projects.

We work closely with other parts of Impact on integrated campaigns and projects and have developed an impressive portfolio of work over the past 2 years. We will continue to grow in 2007 and have an exciting and challenging business plan to deliver over the next 18 months.

Senior New Media Designer

A Senior New Media designer with a minimum of 4 years solid new media agency experience is required to join Impact’s new media team.

You will be working within a small team of designers, developers and programmers. A strong working knowledge of Flash, XHTML, CSS and dynamic content is important. However, the main emphasis of this role is for a creative designer with strong Flash skills and an intuitive knowledge of usability. Our current team can build and develop your ideas.

You will have proven experience of working with a wide range of clients and a portfolio that reflects your creativity. Impact NewMedia’s projects range from HTML and Flash microsites, motion graphics presentations to e-commerce enabled consumer websites.

You will be used to working within a highly efficient team where excellent design and communications skills, punctuality, house keeping and responsibility are expected by your colleagues and management alike.

New Media Project Manager

Impact is a leading, fast growing, dynamic and fun integrated agency and we are looking for a Project Manager to join our New Media team. You will be responsible for the execution of day-to-day project tasks, delivering on time and within budget. You will assist in all areas of project management supporting the Head of New Media and account management team with project scheduling, trafficking and resource planning.

You will be a point of contact for clients and internal staff and will subsequently need to develop a good working relationship with all teams and departments. You will work with the creative and technical teams to ensure that all creative and technical specifications as defined in the brief are incorporated and adhered to ensure overall quality of deliverables.

Senior Designer

A Senior Graphic designer with a minimum of 4 years solid agency experience is required to join our studio.

An appropriate knowledge of Quark, CS2 and relevant graphics and utility software goes without saying. You must be Macintosh based with experience in OSX.

You will be used to working under experienced creative direction as well as being able to take projects from start to finish by yourself or with your team. You will be used to providing top quality design work for Blue Chip clients and your portfolio to should reflect this.

The successful candidate will be working in a highly efficient team where your colleagues and management expect excellent design and communications skills, punctuality, organisation and responsibility alike.

Senior Account Manager

About IMPACT
IMPACT is a full-service agency based near Maidstone in Kent. We offer a comprehensive service to our clients ranging from consultancy/strategy through to design, new media, print, direct mail, exhibitions and storage & distribution. We are a small, successful agency with a broad client portfolio with a wealth of experience at a very exciting stage of growth. Due to expansion and increases in new and existing accounts, we are now looking to bolster our client services provision through the recruitment of a newly created position of Senior Account Manager to help support and drive forward key company accounts.

The Job
We are looking for someone who is seeking a stronger, more vital role in a growing agency. This person will be bright, enthusiastic and have experience of mid to large-size accounts. They will be ambitious, wanting to drive their career fast with a dynamic agency.

The Account Director will focus on advising, driving and delivering on several key accounts. The Senior Account Manager (SAM) will play a key supporting with responsibility for the successful management of existing client accounts. They will be expected to operate at a strategic level to work with and support the Account Director to ensure that the client relationship is positive, expectations are managed appropriately and that existing clients remain a consistent source of revenue for the agency.

In order to meet these objectives, the SAM will partner with the Account Director and clients to understand and interpret their marketing plans and goals and help them to translate and map those goals against IMPACT’s service offerings to help solve business problems. This will encompass all areas of the clients’ corporate initiatives. In addition, the successful candidate will collaborate with, and provide direction to the IMPACT’s creative, studio production teams to ensure the successful execution of client projects from conception through completion.

The candidate must have a proven track record of 3+ years of successful account planning and management. They must have a demonstrated ability to build, nurture, and leverage relationships with seniors and peers using a consultative approach. They must have experience and confidence in their writing and communication skills, as well as developing and presenting account plans and proposals to clients.

This position also requires networking and negotiation skills, the ability to manage long term online initiatives and interfacing with numerous departments.
